This DUPR rating session is open to SAPC members who are unrated and want to attain a DUPR rating at the level specified (3.0). Members should possess the skills likely to achieve that level soon. Check the skill rating sheets found here to ensure you have the prerequisite skills.
The session will provide as many games as time permits with a variety of partners. Games will be played to 11, or until time is called, whichever comes first. Please note that as court time is at a premium and this session will only be 21/2 hours long, it's very important that play starts on time. We are unable to guarantee 10 games with this session.
The fee is 1 sticker, payable at the event. Stickers must be purchased in advance. (link to Store)
Before registering for this event, you must have a DUPR profile (account) and you must join SAPC on DUPR. See the SAPC DUPR Play FAQ for more info.
If this session is full, please add your name to the automated wait list.
If you cannot attend after registering, please cancel your registration at least two days in advance using the process specified at Reserved Play. If canceling within two days, email rating@pickleballstalbert.ca. If you do not cancel within 48 hours, you will not be able to register for future DUPR Rating sessions until September.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time to sign-in, pay with sticker, and warm up. Please ensure to bring your water bottle.
In case of inclement weather, check Facebook for cancelation. Temperature and wind do not count as inclement.
Background: A club rating is required to play in SAPC organized play at and above the 3.0 level. One way of getting or advancing your club rating is to play in sessions that will be recorded by the club in DUPR. This session will provide you with some of the games needed to get a qualifying DUPR rating.
